Residency Programs
Some of the most important conversations in a church don’t happen all at once.
They happen slowly, in layers, in moments of honesty that build over time.
That’s what a residency creates.
Instead of a single message or event, a residency allows space for real engagement… where ideas can be explored, questions can surface, and trust can grow.
What Is a Residency?
A residency is a multi-day experience where I become part of the life of your church for a set period of time.
Not just speaking to your community…
But being present with it.
This allows us to move beyond surface-level conversations and into something more meaningful, more honest, and more lasting.
Who This Is For
Churches who are:
- Ready to engage in deeper conversations
- Navigating questions that don’t have quick answers
- Wanting to move beyond a one-time event
- Looking to create lasting impact, not just a moment
Areas of Focus
Residencies are often centered around themes like:
- LGBTQ+ inclusion and belonging
- The Reconciled in Christ (RIC) journey
- Rebuilding faith after harm or deconstruction
- Creating more authentic and accessible worship environments
- Navigating change within a church community
What This Can Look Like
Every residency is customized, but here’s a common rhythm:
Sunday
- Guest preaching and/or worship leadership
Weekday Evenings
- Workshops or teaching sessions
- Open conversations and Q&A
Throughout the Week
- Small group discussions
- Leadership sessions with staff and ministry teams
- Informal connection (coffee, events, being present)
Why This Works
Because transformation doesn’t come from a single message.
It comes from:
- The conversations that follow
- The relationships that form
- The space to process, question, and reflect
A residency creates that space.
